The Cyprus premiere event of the theatrical production “Melina: The Last Greek Goddess” took place on Friday, 10th November at the Almyra Hotel, Pafos. The exclusive, sold-out event was hailed as a huge success in the presence of Her Excellency, The First Lady of Cyprus, Mrs Andri Anastasiades, Mayor of Pafos, Mr Phedon Phedonas, dignitaries, business entrepreneurs and socialites. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Karaiskakio Foundation.
“Melina: The Last Greek Goddess”, a one-woman play which pays tribute to the life and times of Greece’s national heroine, Melina Mercouri, stars renowned Cypriot actress, Paola Hadjilambri – written and directed by award-winning screenwriter and playwright Paul Lambis.
The shows premiered in October in New York to standing ovations and continue their world tour to Cyprus, Greece, South Africa, United Kingdom and Australia. A private event will be held at the Principality of Monaco, in the presence of their serene highnesses, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco.
With the Pafos performances completed, “Melina: The Last Greek Goddess” travels this week to Nicosia on the 25th and 26th November. A special philanthropic cocktail event will be dedicated to the Karaiskakio Foundation on the 25th November in Nicosia. For reservations, contact 96 23 99 85.
